Technical Director
Christophe SAVARIAUX
The Technical Division provides services, support, and assistance for research and teaching.
This division is headed by Christophe SAVARIAUX, Technical Director of GIPSA-lab, and consists of around thirty people (permanent and fixed-term contracts) from our three supervisory bodies: CNRS, Grenoble-INP, and UGA.
It can be called upon for any requests for assistance in setting up a project, designing it, troubleshooting it, and purchasing equipment, in conjunction with the division’s four departments:
- The IT Department, responsible for the digital environment adapted to laboratory users
- The Software Department, supporting scientific experiments and the exploitation of the data obtained,
- The Mechatronics Department, involved in the development of functional prototypes,
- The Platforms Department, responsible for the technical facilities used for various scientific experiments.
The Technical Division meets on the first Thursday of every month at 9:30 a.m.
